The weather was beautiful the whole week we were there. Sunny and mid-80's: which is exactly what this northern boy needed after way too many months of cold, snow and gray skies.
A WORD OF WARNING: Be very careful about how long you hang your pasty white legs out in the mid-day Mexican sun! Yes, I burned them to a crisp and had to spend a little more time in the shade then I had wanted to.
Not too big of a concern though when you have an outside bar to sit at.
The beach had plenty of palapas (palm thatched umbrellas) to lay under also which I found out was a perfect vantage point to observe all the European women on the beach. For those of you who don't know, the European women are always easy to spot. They're the ones who are topless. God bless 'em!

And the food...OMG! The food! Don't ever go to one of these places if you're worried about your weight. There's always food being served in a couple places on the resort and lots of it. We went to the Japanese restaurant just off the main lobby one night and sat in front of the hibachi sipping Saki while the chef cooked up some of the best Japanese food I've ever had.
A couple of nights in Playa del Carmen rounded out the trip. The food, shopping and people watching in town was the best. There were musicians walking the streets wanting to play for you for a couple dollars like this little old man who played his wooden xylophone and serenaded us while we ate dinner at a curbside restaurant.
It was the perfect time for a vacation to chase away the winter blues. But it's Spring now, so let's ride!!

Glad you had such a wonderful time! By the way...love the flowered shirt. Very Biker! Maybe you will start a new trend!
Europeon women. That's it for me. Sounds like the place to go. Glad you had a good time.
A biker always has pasty legs! They never see the sun! LOL!
I agree with Steph, flowers are in! You should start a new line of biker clothing. Again... LOL!
Glad you got to bask in some sun and warm weather for change. I'm sure your feeling quite refreshed and restored. Pics look great!
Welcome back!
Good for you getting away to the warmth. I felt the same way when I went out to visit Big D and Ann in AZ. I hear you on the pasty legs - I'm so white my legs look like a couple of tall glasses of cold milk!
I'm sure you enjoyed the European women too, and I really hope some of them were either jogging or playing volleyball!
Sweet siesta. Glad you had some time to soak up some R&R. What do you mean it isn't motorcycle related? Your a rider so all of life is motorcycle related, on or off the pony. Just the way it is.
I was charged .75 cents for replying to your vacationing mojitoself on facebook. Glad you had a great time. It was worth my 75 cents:)
