Daytona Women's Ride

During Daytona Bike Week last year, hundreds of women riders raised almost $60,000 for MDA summer camps by joining together for the Harley-Davidson Women's Day Ride. The ride this year will be on March 3rd during Bike Week. The ride is open to the first 500 female Harley-Davidson or Buell riders who register before Friday, Feb. 13th. If interested, you can register at Daytona Women's Experience. The top 3 fundraisers will receive a Harley-Davidson jacket and anyone who raises $600 or more will receive an exclusive MDA 2009 charm.

Good for them...what a great cause! I wish I could join them this year in Daytona!

Very worthy cause.
But I got a question. Why do bikers get such a bad rap? As a group we probably do more for charities than most others. Think we need a PR firm.

Bikers bring in more Toys for Tots than the Marines is what I have heard. So bikers are not all bad.

One day I will get to Daytona...(it IS the week of my birthday)...

(OK, so we stopped for gas across the street from Destination Daytona at 6:30 am on the drive back from FL in a cage 2 weeks ago...but I don't think that counts! LOL)

I'm still trying to win the lottery so I can take the year off and go to all these rallies! Until I find my lucky ticket, I'll have to miss this one again.

I'll ride with them in spirit, I just won't be in Daytona. I'll pick a nice Alabama highway to explore and be thankful I'm a woman rider anyway!

I've never been to Daytona during the Bike Week. I'd love to help out. My legs aren't bad if I shave 'em, and I could put on a wig...the only question is would I make a better blond or brunette? Nah...you know what...there's a reason that I don't have a sister!
