UPDATE...

Well, we didn't get the 8 inches of snow that they were predicting. We got 12 inches instead! It's a bikers nightmare.

And to those of you who were nice enough to chime in at my last post...

Chuck: It sounds great that you'll be able to ride down to the beach because it's sunny and 75 in L.A. Too bad though about the mudslides, wild fires and earthquakes.

Lady R: Thanks for the words of encouragement to hang in there. I'd like to give you the same words of encouragement back. (Being a Bears fan, I know you'll need it!)

As you can see, I can dish out a good-natured ribbing as well as I can take it!! LOL!!

** This is usually the part where I give the countdown to the number of days left until my riding season. Today was supposed to be my first day. Well, we all know how that worked out! **

When Will The Madness End?!?

Well, I've been counting down the days until riding season since November. This weekend was my target after counting for 125 days. So, why do I bring this up?

Because a HUGE winter storm is bearing down on the state of Wisconsin which is expected to dump up to 8 inches of snow starting tonight. Arghhhhh!!!

Favre 4-Ever

Yes, most of us here in Wisconsin are in mourning today. The era is over and Brett Favre has decided to hang it up. It hasn't totally sunk in yet and don't think it probably will until this fall. It's hard to explain how I feel knowing that the man who I witnessed breaking every passing record in football for almost 16 years will not be there anymore. He was our iron-man our hero. He never sat out of a game for an injury and his "never say die" attitude was inspiring. Every Sunday was like watching a young boy at the playground. His boy-ish smile and excitement on the field showed how much he really loved the game.

And off the field, Brett is a great person. His humble and gracious attitude is one that is somewhat uncommon in the world of professional sports. He is extremely giving of his free time to charities and has a heart of gold.

I know that this is supposed to be a motorcycle blog and that a lot of you probably don't care. He meant a lot to a lot of us though. For the younger fans, he is probably the only Packers quarterback that they can ever remember. I remember the dark days before Brett came to Green Bay and I feel honored that I was able to witness the greatest quarterback in NFL history. Thanks for the memories Brett.
