I’m dying, I’m dying -
My soul is slowly dying.
You sit in the garage and beckon to me
“Can you come out and play?”
“I can not,” I say “She has other plans for me today.”
I yearn to ride, to live and be free
But today that is not to be.
I hear your friends roar by – free in the wind
That’s how we were meant to be.
I can’t explain how I feel
She just doesn’t understand.
Together forever, one with the road
Exploring our great land.
For now, I live for the time that we steal
Exploring the country roads together.
The soul of a biker should never be caged
Running wild with my machine forever.
I’m dying, I’m dying -
My soul is slowly…..

Tomahawk: The Sturgis of Wisconsin
On Thursday, me and three other guys jumped on our bikes and headed 250 miles north with the ladies following in our truck. It was a good ride up until the last hour when we rode into a rainstorm. Then the hailstorm hit! (This was one of those times when I wished I had a windshield.) The weather didn't get any better as the temperature dipped to 20 degrees on Friday night. Saturday was a beautiful day though so the trip wasn't a total loss.
Weather aside, it was a pretty awesome sight. I've never seen so many motorcycles and people packed into such a small area. Bikers were everywhere and every bar we passed had hundreds of motorcycles parked outside! I was in Heaven! The main street of Tomahawk was blocked off at each end for Friday and Saturday night with a large stage set up at each end where bands played all night.
Vendors were also not in short supply. They were crammed on every corner and alley.
Good food, drinks, music, friends and riding in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin. What else could you ask for?!? (Except maybe warmer weather next year.)

Never...
Never forget what happened on this day.Never forget the lives that were taken.
Never forget the fear that was given.
And, NEVER EVER forget the soldiers who have given everything so that we may live in the greatest country on Earth.
Be sure to give your loved ones an extra hug today.
And forgive someone who you hold a grudge against.
Life is way too short.

Knucklefest Rocks
I went to a party this weekend called Knucklefest. We got there a little early so we had time to wander the grounds and check out all the usual vendor stuff. Rhett Rotten's Wall of Death was there, a mechanical bull was set up and I could hear a band playing somewhere across the grounds. Looks like it could shape up to be a pretty decent event.
As the sun was going down, it was like someone opened the motorcycle floodgates. Bikers started pouring in from all directions. The band we went to see, Chasin Mason, started playing and the place really started rockin! Even though the girls behind the bars were working their hardest to keep up with people's drink orders, they still had time to entertain the crowd by dancing on the bar.

Not wanting to be outdone, the ladies in the crowd were all to eager to jump into the cages at the corners of the stage and dance for the crowd. We finished off the night by watching some of the drunks climb aboard the mechanical bull. What a sight!
What a fun night. I'll definitely keep this one on my calendar for next year!
